So it’s been a very long time since any SERIOUS BLOGGAGE has gone down on this site and I thought it was about time to rectify that by getting back in the saddle. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my blog…
As you may or may not know we’ve been very busy over the past few months in a very different, more elusive capacity than we’re used too. Usually we’re haphazardly posting tidbits and tasters with our grinning mugs in the foreground (ok, maybe our grinning mugs are still being posted in abundance) but a little bit of mystery is good for the soul so we’re trying not to give too much away. We’ve written and recorded a new album in what turned out to be two parts across two continents (yeah that’s right, I went there) that we are VERY excited about. I know some of you are probably picking your noses and scratching your heads and going:
“Hey Drew, so the album’s been recorded right? Well..WHERE IS IT?! GIVE IT TO ME YOU BASTARD! WHY ARE YOU HOLDING THIS BACK FROM US YOU BIG FAT PHONY!!!!”
Hopefully not quite so extreme and sociopathic as that little dramatisation there, or I may have to ramp up security in the Woolcave. All I can say is please bare with us and be patient. It’s coming you guys and it’s going to be FLIPPIN’ (excuse my language) AWESOME you can count on that, it’s just going to take a little while. Even though the tracks are all recorded we’ve still got all the mixing, mastering, design work, single choosing, video making etc. etc. etc. blah blah blah to sort out before we unleash the beast. But the beast will be bombastic, if Militia of the Lost could be described as Charmander then this is Charizard – the a DOUBLE evolution for those non-pokenuts out there!
We’ve got some exciting news soon that should tide you over for a bit, so don’t worry – we haven’t forgot about you guys ;).
Of course the news that surely can’t have escaped you (and if it has expect a barrage of promo tweets and posts muddying up your timeline MWHAHAHAH) is that next Sunday we are hitting the road with Madina Lake and Super Fun Happy Club to bring rock and roll to a grey and dreary UK!
Again I must apologise profusely that we are not going to see as many of you as we initially thought (due to the first week of the tour being cancelled). Do not fret because though we may have missed you this time we will see you as soon as we can - especially all you guys in Ireland, we will get over to you when we can and it will be a gloriously rock-tastic event!
But the road goes ever on and on, and the tour will still twist it’s way through the UK for the better part of a month so if you haven’t already check these dates and grab your tickets yo:

Was that too maniacal? Sorry, I’ve been watching too much Batman TAS…
Now if the emotional strain of the last two episodes of Breaking Bad don’t leave me a gibbering wreck – you will hear from me again tres soon.
PS. I just had a thought so anyone who’s made it to the end of this blog congrats – you’re just the people I’m looking for. You know Kier (or K-Dawg as he’s known to be called be no-one) has done a few twitter question videos? Well I’ve been asked about doing something like that by a few folks but I’m not convinced I’d be very good at it so I was thinking of doing a blog equivalent of that beast. If anyone wants to chat music/FVK (and maybe even a few geeky questions for fun) just tweet @drewfvk a question or discussion point with #wordywooly and I’ll post something up at some point over the next few days.
